From 2020 to 2022, Jillian served as a research intern on the Horticulture Team at The Holden Arboretum, where she and Andrew first connected. In addition to her thesis work, she has published papers on tree health and the use of LiDAR in tree analysis. Her combination of academic knowledge and hands-on field experience strengthens The Dirty Horticulturist’s mission to promote sustainable tree care and enhance urban ecosystem health!
